About the Event
When Mr Darcy comes up to London, he is up on business, right? Well...yes and no. Changes are he has a certain little book in his back pocket and he is coming up to London for fun as well as finance. On this walking tour, we take a look at the world of the 18thC sex and brothel trade, finding out the different lives, fortunes and...ahem...talents of the women who worked in the oldest profession. We retrace their footsteps, look at their former homes, and take a look at how this was once one of the biggest industries in London.
If you have been watching HBO / BBC's show Harlots, then this is one not to miss. It is by no means necessary to have seen it, but if you have, you may just recognise some of the descriptions of the women whose tracks we are following. **Please note - discussion of some sexual terms will be part of this tour.**
Spaces limited to 20 people until further notice
