Best of Bermondsey - Off The Beaten Track

One of London's most overlooked areas, Bermondsey is teeming with stories. Once a thriving industrial centre, the area is now very desirable, but it still wears its past openly even today. We are taking a virtual stroll through centuries of history in one of my local areas.

Catering to some of the upper levels of society, this area would have housed the more noxious industries, and squalor was rife. However, some important developments were made here, and the area was an important part of London. We take a look at what  this area used to be like.
